Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and the operators of Rekt Paper Scissors ("the Platform", "we", "us") governing your use of rektps.com and the game services offered there (the "Services"). By connecting a wallet, creating an account, or placing a stake, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

Rekt Paper Scissors is a peer-to-peer rock-paper-scissors wagering game on BNB Chain. Players stake USDT or community memecoins against other players. The Platform never plays against you and takes no position in any match — it matches players, settles results, and charges a fee (rake) on each pot as described in the Litepaper.

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live, whichever is higher), and legally capable of entering into this agreement.

Games involving crypto assets and wagering are regulated differently in every jurisdiction, and in some places are restricted or prohibited. It is solely your responsibility to determine whether your use of the Services is lawful where you are located, and you represent that it is. We do not verify identity or residence (no KYC), and we may restrict access from particular regions at our discretion. The Services are void where prohibited.

Sign-in and wallet connectivity are provided by Privy. Your connected or embedded wallet is controlled by you — we never hold your private keys.

To play, you deposit tokens from your wallet into the Platform vault contract. Deposits are credited to your platform balance, an off-chain ledger backed by on-chain vault reserves. Stakes, winnings, rake and jackpot payouts move on this ledger; withdrawals send tokens from the vault to a wallet address you choose. Withdrawals are subject to automated solvency, security and anti-abuse checks and may be delayed, limited or paused while a check runs — these controls exist to protect all players' funds.

Match formats (Best of 5, One throw), blind staking, random big-bet multipliers, points, MMR, leaderboards, jackpot tickets and draws operate as described in the Litepaper and in-game rules, which form part of these Terms. A 6% rake is charged on each pot and split between the jackpot pool, the leaderboard reward pool and the Platform. Jackpot draws use Chainlink VRF for verifiable randomness.

Points, tickets, MMR and leaderboard positions are gameplay features: they have no cash value, are not redeemable outside the Services, and may be recalibrated, adjusted or reset to correct bugs, exploits or abuse.

Wagering is risky: you can lose everything you stake. Memecoins are extremely volatile and can lose most or all of their value at any moment, including while a match is in progress or while tokens sit in your balance. Blockchains, smart contracts, wallets and bridges carry technical risk, including bugs, exploits and total loss of funds. Token prices displayed on the Services are sourced from third parties and may be delayed or inaccurate.

You are responsible for your own equipment, software, wallet configuration and internet connection, and for keeping your sign-in methods and devices secure. Nothing on the Services is financial, investment, legal or tax advice. Stake only what you can afford to lose.

You agree not to: use bots or automated play; exploit bugs or unintended behaviour; collude with opponents (including matching your own alternate accounts) to farm points, tickets, referral or leaderboard rewards; interfere with or attack the Services; use the Services to launder funds or evade sanctions; or resell or misrepresent the Services.

We may cancel matches, void rewards, freeze balances derived from abuse, and suspend or terminate accounts involved, with or without prior notice. Genuine player deposits remain withdrawable subject to the checks in Section 4.

THE SERVICES, INCLUDING ALL SMART CONTRACTS, ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES, CONDITIONS OR REPRESENTATIONS OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED — INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT — TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that any content (including prices and statistics) is accurate or reliable.

We shall not be liable for any delay or failure in performance caused by events or conditions beyond our reasonable control. These include, without limitation: congestion, forks, reorganisations or outages of blockchain networks; validator, node or RPC provider failures; failures of third-party services (authentication, hosting, database, oracles, market data, on-ramps); internet, telecommunications or power failures; your equipment, operating system or connection problems; hacking or denial-of-service attacks on infrastructure we do not control; acts of God, war, terrorism, civil unrest, labour disputes, epidemics; and acts of government or changes in law or regulation.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST TOKENS APPRECIATION, LOSS OF DATA OR LOSS OF GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES — EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR LOSSES CAUSED BY YOUR EQUIPMENT OR INTERNET CONNECTION, YOUR LOSS OF ACCESS TO YOUR WALLET OR SIGN-IN METHOD, OR THE ACTS OR OMISSIONS OF ANY THIRD-PARTY SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICES IS LIMITED TO THE TOTAL RAKE WE EARNED FROM YOUR MATCHES IN THE THIRTY (30) DAYS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations; in those jurisdictions these apply to the maximum extent permitted.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Platform and its operators, contributors and service providers from any third-party claim, loss, liability and reasonable expense (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the Services, your breach of these Terms, your violation of any law in your jurisdiction, or content you submit (usernames, avatars, bios, links).

The Services — including artwork, branding, interface and code we authored — are protected by intellectual-property laws; we grant you a personal, revocable, non-transferable licence to use them for playing. You retain your profile content and grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to display it within the Services. Do not submit content that is unlawful or infringes others' rights; we may remove it.

We may modify these Terms, game parameters, features or fees, and may suspend or discontinue any part of the Services, at any time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new date; continuing to use the Services afterwards means you accept them. We may suspend or terminate your access without prior notice for violations of Section 7, suspected illegal conduct, or where required by law. You may stop using the Services at any time; your withdrawable balance remains withdrawable per Section 4.

Severability — if any provision is held unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary, and the rest remain in effect. No waiver — our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. Assignment — you may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a reorganisation or transfer of the Platform. Entire agreement — these Terms, the Privacy Policy and the in-game rules are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services.
